The accepted name of the tea set begins in China. This from where it has got the official names as the bone china. During this time, tea ware was made of porcelain. It consisted of two styles. One was northern white porcelain and other southern light blue porcelain. Than the tea sets did not include the creamer and sugar bowl what we know today. Tea in those days was supposed to be very unusual. Tealeaves were pressed into cakes and were then crushed and mixed with a variety of spices, including orange, ginger, onions, and flower petals. Hot water was poured over the mixture. It was further heated and served in bowls, not teapots. But as time changes need also changes. In that period tea was mainly used as a medicinal elixir, not as a daily drink.
