Use the attractive and long lasting flooring
As for a baby room at home, the non-ceramic tile idea has the sanitation appeal but there is the additional concern that a baby might climb out of its crib and fall on the floor. A carpeted floor is much more forgiving than a tile floor and as long as it is clean, it should be fine for a baby room. When designing a baby or a child's room, it is important for parents to choose furniture, fabrics and fibers that do not contain potentially harmful gases called volatile organic compounds and carefully consider placement of furnishings too. With a little research and knowledge, parents can make their baby's bedroom the healthy, safe haven that it should be.
Word about floors
Like furniture, flooring should be considered permanent. For health reasons, opt for hard-surface floors over wall-to-wall carpeting, if possible. Carpets are a sponge for collecting dirt, dust, pesticides and dust mites. Even stain-free carpets are not as easy to clean as simple wood or tile floors. Designers suggest non-skid area rugs that can be easily cleaned in a washing machine for added accent and warmth. If there is a fully carpeted room, choose a tightly woven, low pile, 100 percent nylon, wool or cotton rug and ask for adhesives with low-level chemical emissions.
Interesting flooring
Kids want their rooms to be fun and look great. Making those two wishes a reality is easier than ever with carpet and rug collections designed expressly for kids or simply the young at heart. Kids and teenagers like a place to call their own. It is only one room and it may even encourage them to keep their rooms clean. The vibrant floor colours coordinates beautifully with the youth linens, bedding and clothing. These floor designs reflect the love of creative colours with charming palettes that will brighten the kid's world for years to come. And while the kids will love the floor colours and will try to keep it clean. If there is enough time just change the flooring type in the room. If the room was carpeted, refinish the flooring with hardwood or tile or re-carpet the room can add new life in the baby's room. If there is no time to install new flooring, simply deep clean the old flooring with a steam cleaner to remove any dirt and refresh the existing flooring.
