Pests are always a cause of annoyance to mankind. Great efforts have been put to encounter with the pests. This process includes various methods that helps in keeping them away from the residential areas as well as destroy them. To serve the purpose several chemicals and herbal products are used. Since different chemicals have different effect on the system of the creature, thus for a particular pest a particular method of control is put into place. Bumblebee is a serious home pest, which should be controlled as and when cited. Deltamethrin is a chemical very useful in the control of the bumblebee.

Bumblebee the pest

Bumblebees are yellow and black in color. They are generally half to three fourth inches long. They can fly and tend to defy all the laws of physics while doing so. They are the carriers of pollen grains from the flowers and thus induce pollination. They are often built around gardens to facilitate pollination in the plants. But bumblebees are dangerous to man as they tend to sting whenever they find one in their vicinity. The sting of the bumblebees is indeed poisonous because they cause several allergic reactions inside the human body. Thus once stung by the bumblebees can cause huge irritation and grater inconvenience.

Deltamethrin dusting as a control measure

Deltamethrin dust can be very useful in controlling the bumblebees. Deltamethrin dust is very light and can float for a long time in the air. Due to their nature deltamethrin dusts can penetrate the nests of the bumblebees deep down. The deltamethrin is dusted using a hand duster for better results. It advisable that one or more hole in the nest of the bumblebee should be found during the day time, this will ensure better penetration of the deltamethrin dust. When the bees are back during the evening and are resting inside their cells, the deltamethrin should e dusted using a hand duster. Thus they will die before they can emerge. Even if some of them come out of their nest they will be weak enough not to cause any damage to the mankind.

Though bumblebees are very engrossed in their foraging but whenever they are amidst active human beings they tend to get irritated and attack human beings. Thus they are considered as serious pests and thus should be prevented from infesting the residential areas.
