Smoke and an Air Purifier – An Essential Commodity Today
The overall air is so polluted today that no home is really completely clean without a smoke and air purifier. Once this type of device is installed, you will definitely feel the difference in the air you breathe at home. This is particularly beneficial to those who suffer from asthma, and other acute respiratory related diseases.
A Brief Critique on Existing Technology
The first air purifiers were the mechanical ones where the air would be pushed through filters which were meant to capture all the pollutants from the air and hold them inside the filter. The filters themselves were to be changed as often as required – between six months to three years time.
This type of smoke and air purifiers gave way soon enough to the ionized ones. Here, the purification was done with the help of negatively charged ions which latched onto polluted particles and then anchored them to the floor or furniture in the house. This required the need of constant vacuuming which was not quite acceptable. Hence, the ionization was modified into capturing the pollutant particles on electromagnetic plates which cleared the air and the home of impurities, and even viruses.
There was still a massive disadvantage with the methods which this smoke and air purifier functioned. The ionizer produced ozone. As long as this stayed below 50 particles per billion, it was okay. But what if the ozone production exceeds the safety limits? Ozone, is after all, highly toxic. This brought the purification of the air to HEGA and HEPA air filters. This, at last, conformed to the requirements of safety and cleanliness.
Technology apart, you will need to know what type of smoke and air purifier you will need for your home. Before you decide, you should know for sure the reason for what you are buying the smoke and air purifier. Is it because your air-conditioning bill is too high? Is it because anyone in the family has allergies that are not going away? Is the youngest addition to the family feeling okay with the air? How big should your smoke and air purifier be to efficiently maintain the purification of the air? And last but not least, what is the budget?
After you answer all these questions, it will be plain and clear as to what type of smoke and air purifier you should go for. Keep in mind when you decide, that the most expensive does not always mean the best.
