5) The next step is to scrub the deck again using a 10-15% solution of muriatic acid with water. This burns away mineral contamination and opens numerous tiny pores, allowing the patio coating to "soak in".
6) After 24 hours of the application of the second coat of patio coating, the patio is ready for foot traffic.
