Organizing playroom-to organize your home better

Your child has more toys than you ever dreamed of having as a child these days. What you do with all of them? How can you organize a play space either in the bedroom or in a special playroom? Organizing the house is very important to keep house in better.

Organizing

Separate everything into categories such as building blocks, tools, dolls, reading materials, action figures, cooking items, musical toys, and art suppliers. Make a list of all the categories of the toys your child owns, as it would make it easier to organize. Next is deciding the best way to hold each category. This can include any type of cabinet, container, or basket. You can even arrange in different shelves in a different cupboard specially meant for toys. Or else you will need a bookcase or basket for the books, a plastic storage container for books. Then measure everything. For example, stack all building blocks. Take a measuring tape and measure length, width and height. Write down to-do list. Go shopping or look around the house for appropriate containers. Many people go out and buy storage containers without knowing exactly how they will use them. Measure first and buy wisely enough. Finally setup everything. Every toy should be categorized and should have a home. This makes clean up quicker and much easier. Most days, a child can clean own room daily. If children know where to put things, they are more likely to start teaching them to put away one set of toys before getting out another.

Tips

Go through toys periodically and remove the ones, which are not being used any longer and just lying in the storage. You might also want to rotate some toys. That is when you put them away for some time says one or two months, some of the toys and get them out, that is rotate to seem like new toys for them after that. Thus rotating will help making them happy and make cleaning easier as only few of the toys out, less mess. You will also save time and money of course.
