Self-Regulating Heating Cables

Self-regulating heating cables are parallel circuit electric heater strips used to protect fluids in pipelines from freezing. The heater cable derives its self-regulating characteristic from the inherent properties of the conductive core material. An increase in the temperature of the core material leads to a decrease in the number of conductive path in the core material. This leads to decrease in the heat output. As the temperature decreases, the number of conductive path increases.

A single cable on one circuit can cover 280 square feet for floor warming and 180 square feet for primary heating.
