Having a swimming pool in a residential area is a good idea to let one relax and indulge in some outdoor sports activity. Swimming pool is a man made water body. Water is enclosed by walls and restricted by a basement. An exotic swimming pool also adds to one's class and showcases his aesthetic sense. It can be decorated in many ways to suit one's sense of art.

While constructing a swimming pool the primary things that should be considered are the length and the breadth of the pool. A private pool thus built should not be much deep, as it can pose a threat to the security of the infants as they don't have professional lifeguard. The length should be considered in accordance with the space available. The material used for the construction of the sidewalls and the basements also should be chosen carefully. A proper channel for the expulsion of the water should be built to keep it clean.

Maintenance of the Swimming Pool

Maintenance of a pool requires utmost care towards cleanliness. The water should be everyday changed so as to ensure clean water every day. Proper arrangements should be there in place to maintain a very low level of bacteria and viruses in order to prevent diseases and pathogens. The walls and the basement should be strongly built to prevent any collapse, which will eventually result in flooding the house. In case the pool is infected strong oxidizing agents can be used to disinfect the place. Proper arrangements of security should be made to protect the infants; they generally should not be allowed to play in the absence of the adults.

A swimming pool at home gives a person the opportunity to exercise or relax as and when desired. It also helps in chilling out in the hot summers. It has now become a status symbol to own a private swimming pool. It also encourages healthy environment at the residence. It brings us closer to the nature.
