That is when the reservoirs are lowest and demand for irrigation water is highest. Choosing drought-tolerant plants, building rich soil, watering wisely and following the other key steps will help to solve the problem. Save money on water bills. How to use water properly in the garden?

Use bigger pots with more compost to cool the soil and conserve moisture. Kill weeds as they compete with plants for moisture.
