Home owners often find themselves at crossroads while they renovate their old kitchens. They are caught in a dilemma because they want to modernize their homes but cannot find the urge to remove some of the classic pieces already present in their kitchen. Hence, specifically for such people, the fusion look for the kitchen is just right. Blending the classic and old world charm to the new-age flamboyance is sure to create magic in the kitchen.

The Right Mix

Owners always want the best of everything. Hence, they do not want to do away with their old and precious kitchen items but also want to add a modern touch to it. Hence, the fusion way or mixing the two styles in the right way would certainly make all the difference in the visual appeal as well as to its functionality. This can be done with respect to all the aspects in the kitchen like the kitchen counters, the cabinets and drawers and the overall kitchen dcor. Considering the case of kitchen counters, they can be given a tasteful fusion look very easily. The counters can be made out of traditional types of wood like oak and maple. However, they can be designed in the most polished, refined and chic manner. Also, using materials like steel, granite and crude wood would work greatly. This is because these materials can be designed in the most modern way without losing its rustic and traditional qualities.

Yet another way of blending the two distinct styles are to hang the kitchen utensils like pans and large spoons above the kitchen counters. Also, having wrought iron furniture with a copper or bronze polish can give an antique but sleek look to the kitchen. Using warm colors in the kitchen is yet another way of mixing the two ways. Using colors like beige, cream and even wood colors can make the kitchen look beautiful. Even purchasing the advanced and state-of-the-art technology, owners can ensure that they have wooden panels and artistic handles and supplements. The wooden panels and intricate designing can help to give traditional flair with the latest facilities to the kitchen.

These are only a few of the ways of mixing the two styles in the kitchen. However, if the owner wishes and has really very innovative ideas, he can come up with numerous interesting ways of blending the two styles.
