Individuals take great efforts to keep their homes clean and beautiful. However, this process can be hampered by some problems that are bound to crop up in almost every home. One such prominent problem is the problem of pests. A long line of ants in the kitchen or small cockroaches scurrying in the bathroom can be an absolute nightmare for the home owners. The owners then have to run around with pest repellents sprays and powders to keep the crawling insects away from the house. There is yet another way that can keep the pests away from home. Allow the different types of home and garden geckos to enter their homes so as to reduce home pests.

Gecko Help

Pests become a regular feature inside the home if the home has enough hiding places for them. Insects like ants, bugs and beetles can reside in the minute cracks and crevices in the walls or flooring of the home. Even cockroaches dwell in small openings in the house. If the home or the basement is cluttered with several unwanted objects, in not kept clean and tidy, then it is a perfect place for the pests to settle. Instead of trying the different artificial products and pest repellents, home owners can try some natural pest control measures in their homes. The solution sounds a bit bizarre but if the home owners allow geckos to come inside their homes they could decrease the number of pests immensely.

The usual garden geckos or home geckos look mean and most people are afraid or are extremely averse even to the idea of a gecko inside the home. However, these misunderstood creatures can help people immensely in keeping the home free from the crawling creatures. Geckos are natural predators for most of the home pests like ants, bugs, flies, beetles and cockroaches. Geckos are right above these pests in the natural food chain. Hence, one gecko inside the house can feed on so many pests at a time and decrease the problem of pests greatly. Pests are active during the nights and so are the geckos. Geckos can reach even the difficult corners of the house to feed on the pests where the owners cannot reach to clean. Also, geckos do not cause any other harm to the people in the house unlike the smaller pests.

Nature itself has made gecko as a natural check on the innumerable pests. Hence, individuals must compromise and allow geckos to come inside the homes as natural pest control.
